Poggibonsi is part of the province of Siena, located in the territory of the Val d'Elsa in the vicinity of the Chianti Hills, in which we find widespread cultivation of the vine and agriculture. Important also the industrial, built on the outskirts of the city extensively, which produces furniture, vases, glass. The economy of the country had increased in recent years thanks to expansion of tourism, due to new enhancement of its monuments, like the type of Romanesque churches, medieval castles, Renaissance villas and for its excellent geographical location. Poggibonsi in fact, given its centrality on important art cities such as San Gimignano, Colle di Val d'Elsa, Florence and Siena, but also Volterra and Pisa, have seen increase its tourism through the birth of many hotels and farmhouses that, in addition to meet demand receptive, also sell their products from local as oil, honey, saffron and wine.
